Leonardo Jamison and Mason Stein were in constant competition growing up. No
matter how hard Leonardo tried to win, he was always outdone by
Mason. As the two boys matured, they began to realize that they each had unique
talents and common interests – in fact, when they put their talents together,
they were quite a team. After high school, both boys decided to become chemists
and dreamed of working together one day to create the perfect concoction – the
Formula for Family Fun. Years later, Leonardo, a doctor, and Mason, a
professor, finally felt that they had the knowledge to carry out their dream.
They agreed to work together to develop the highly sought after Formula for
Family Fun.
The two young men built a laboratory together and began researching Fun. They
found that the only way to create such a formula was by using pure fun which
can only be made by separating out all of the unfun and fun in the world. After
weeks of hard work, their laboratory contained one giant container of unfun and
only a small test tube of fun.
One day, Mason was away from the laboratory and Leonardo continued to work on
the Formula. While conducting a test, the container of unfun became so full
that it exploded in the laboratory and the unfun liquid spilled all over
Leonardo After the blast, Leonardo noticed that he felt a little different, but
overall, he was fine. He hurried to clean up the mess before Mason could find
out what happened. Mason returned the following day unaware of what had
occurred.
As the days passed, Mason noticed that Leonardo became an angry and impatient
man, much different from the kind person that he knew. When asked if everything
was okay, Leonardo became irritated and replied that everything was fine.
Little did Mason know that on the side, Leonardo was secretly creating his own
formula, Amphibinator, designed to transform people into frogs. The doctor had
plans to give this potion to Mason and prevent him from sharing the secret Fun
Formula with the world.
The men continued to work on the Formula for Family Fun together, regardless of
their differences. Weeks later, Leonardo and Mason had reason to celebrate –
they finally discovered the Formula for Family Fun! Mason decided to enjoy the
day by taking a break from all of the hard work. He grabbed his sandwich from
the fridge and went to the laboratory’s lounge, not knowing that Leonardo had
sprinkled his sandwich with Amphibinator earlier that morning. As he was
eating, the Amphibinator made him tired, and he fell asleep on the couch. When
he awoke he felt a little strange and saw his reflection in the TV. The
Amphibinator had turned him into a frog! At the same time he heard a clamor in
the main laboratory and hopped towards the other room where he found Doctor
Leonardo destroying the lab. He tried to stop him but couldn’t. Leo was
irritated, and kept yelling “we will not release this formula to the world. No
family will ever be able to have fun again”.
Mason, now Frogstein, realized that his friend had turned into a different
person. He was no longer the kind-hearted person he once knew and with his
(Mason’s) concerns of his own changes and his desires to create the Formula for
Family Fun he decided to find a secret location within the City of North
Richland Hills to rebuild his lab and to recreate his miraculous discovery of
the Formula for Family Fun. Only days later, Professor Frogstein replicated the
Formula and was ready to release it into the world. Professor Frogstein jumped
for joy and shouted out a cry of victory. Miles away, Leonardo (now known as
Dr. Unfun) heard this familiar voice echoing through the city and hopped in his
car to find out where it was coming from.
Dr. Unfun pulled up to a swampy area and saw a secret laboratory in the
distance. As he moved closer, he noticed Professor Frogstein holding a test
tube with the Formula. Determined to destroy it, Dr. Unfun left his car and ran
towards the Professor at full force. Professor Frogstein was caught off guard
and when Dr. Unfun ran into him, the test tube flew out of his hands and
spilled into a nearby spring. As the formula mixed with the water, a reaction
took place and transformed the land. Waterslides sprung up from the ground,
pools of water appeared, water gushed out of the laboratory and slides emerged
from the windows. Thousands of children and families poured into the water park
and filled it with laughter and fun. The Formula for Family Fun – NRH2O
– was a success!
The magical transformation overjoyed Professor Frogstein. He joined the
children to play in the water and everyone loved him for creating the perfect
fun atmosphere. Dr. Unfun, on the other hand, was disgusted. He left to hide
far away from the fun and to this day, makes new attempts to destroy fun in the
world.
